Hello folks, this is my second post about our 9 day trip to The Netherlands. After spending 3 days in Amsterdam we couldn’t wait to see what the rest of the country had to offer.
On day 4 we headed to Den Haag (The Hague) and spent the day exploring the city. As a child I learnt that the International Court of Justice was at Den Haag making it one of the major cities which hosted the UN. My curiosity was well rewarded as the city and its surroundings are pristine beauty, see for yourself and let me know what you think..!!

Day 5 we visited Kinderdijk – UNESCO world heritage site and what a beautiful one it was. What you will see now is not just a picturesque place but also depicts the water management system of the Dutch in olden days. Not many know that 26% of the area in The Netherlands is below sea level. The country built a robust water management system and are the pioneers of water management system, they have a long history of containing flood risks and land reclamation. Today Dutch people are highly regarded worldwide for their expertise in this area.

Day 6 was spent exploring Den Haag and we did have a good time.
Wait for my next blogpost to know what I did in the last 3 days of my fab vacation.
